Portfolio: Green Hills Alliance Church

Green Hills was a church in Troy, NY going through a process of redevelopment after many tough years. The process culminated in its relaunching as Compelled Christian Church in 2013, but before that there were many steps from having no organized identity or web presence to the full rebranding. I was a part of the church's leadership for many years, so I got to be on the inside of this whole process.

Logo (2011)

This new logo was designed to tie into the Compelled service's logo (next item on this page) as that became the primary focus of the church's worship life.

Compelled Service Logo (2010)

In 2010, the "Compelled" service was launched to reach a younger demographic. To help advertise it, we created a new, bolder look.

Logo (2007)

The beginning of Green Hills' graphical identity, using an outline of the building as seen driving up to it. The church had been around for many years before, but never really with a logo as such.

Website (2011)

This built upon the previou website, but was easier to maintain and was designed to be viewed on mobile devices.   View a content page

Prior to 2009, the church had only a barebones website. This was the first "proper" site launched for it.   View a content page

New, eye-catching business cards that were made as we continued to develop our brand.

With the 2009 logo we also made professional-looking, branded business cards.

Compelled Invitation Postcard (2010)

This postcard was designed to be an easy way for people to invite others to Compelled. It went through several revisions over time – this is the third version we used.

Outdoor Banner (2012)

This sign was for the end of the church's driveway, to replace one that was damaged by a heavy wind. At the time this was produced, we knew we would be renaming the church, but hadn't decided what the new name would be, so it was left intentionally vague on that point.

Outdoor Banner (2010)

I designed outdoor banners to advertise the Compelled service to people passing by the church. Two were made, an 80" x 30" one and a 66 ⅔" x 50" one.
